We are seeking a high energy, detailed oriented Credentialing Specialist

Job Description

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the coordination of Credentialing of physicians\allied health providers by compiling and processing applications in compliance with various state and clinical site requirements.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include ensuring timely and smooth completion of processes, reviewing applications/re-applications, entering data into credentialing database and working with practitioners to ensure applications are complete. In addition, the desired Credentialing Professional will need to be responsible for the following:

o Ensure that the credentialing/re-credentialing processes maintain compliance with regulatory standards (I.e., The Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, etc.) and individual clinical site staff bylaws, rules and regulations)

o Ensure credentialing database is properly maintained

o Perform quality assurance reviews on credentialing and re-credentialing files

o Promote positive public relations. Serve as a general informational source to physicians\allied health professionals, other departments and the general public.

o Perform other duties as required or assigned

Desired Skills and Experience

◦3 or more years of credentialing or provider enrollment experience in a physician practice setting

◦Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) through the National Association of Medical Staff Services

◦Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Web based applications

◦Detail oriented, with a dedicated focus and pride in your work

◦Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on internal & external customer satisfaction

◦Team player who is able to prioritize, work well under pressure, readily adapt to change, have excellent problem solving skills and excel in a productivity based environment

◦Strong verbal and written communication skills

◦Demonstrated research and problem solving skills
